Hazel farrell
BORN IN 1933 AT WIMBORNE,DORSET,Hazel spent the early years of her working life helping her father run hisStationers ans Printing business in her home town.
After obtaining an A level in Art at Bournemouth Art Collece, she continued to study lithography,commercial art,painting in oils and pen and ink drawing.
Becoming increasingly attracted to painting and finding a new found pleasure for outdoor landscapes,She extended her experience from working from life
wherever possible though not entering the world of true watercolour until the late 70's,at this time she started exhibiting at the Mall Galleries in London.
Since moving to Widley,Portsmouth in 1984 she has published videos on HOW TO PAINT and continued to contribute to many international art magazines
and give numerous painting demonstrations.
She has also published two novels TRUTH AMONG WOMEN and THE DOG ROSE SUMMER .
Her most recent book is OVER THE FIELDS OF CLOVER and is mainly autobiographic.
Hazel is a member of THE SOCIETY OF AUTHORS and a fellow of the I.C.M.A.
